方殷（1913—1982），河北雄县人，原名常钟元，笔名芳茵。中国现当代著名诗人。1935年毕业于北平中国大学。1932年在北平参加左联，开始发表诗作。以后数十年历任《少年先锋》、《诗歌杂志》编辑，南京《金陵日报》特约记者，山西临汾民族革命大学教师，延安鲁艺学员，重庆全民通讯社记者、编辑，重庆市文联编辑，北京人民文学出版社编辑等。方殷反对图解生活，提倡写诗要用意象说话。著有诗集《方殷诗选》等。
