袁勃（1911—1967），原名何风文。河北广宗人。中国现当代著名诗人、评论家。1931年开始文学创作。1933年与朋友在青岛创办《诗歌季刊》杂志。抗战爆发时参加革命工作，历任多地《新华日报》编辑，华北《人民日报》及《北平解放报》编辑、总编辑，《云南日报》社长，云南省委常委、宣传部长、作协主席。他支持鼓励《五朵金花》、《阿诗玛》走向全国，收集整理彝族长诗《逃到甜蜜的地方》，却因此在文革中遭劫致死。袁勃著有诗集《真理的船》和《袁勃诗文选》等结集多部。
